Creating a new Account

Creating a Desktop Shortcut

After the sign-up and configuration process, it's a good idea to create a desktop shortcut icon for the connection so that you can easily connect to the Internet.

To create a desktop icon using Windows operating systems:

  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Dial Up Networking.
  2. Right-click the icon, and click Create Shortcut on the shortcut menu.
  3. Click Yes.
  4. A shortcut icon will be placed on your desktop.
  5. To connect to the Internet, you can double-click the shortcut.

Modifying Your Account

You can modify many aspects of your account from the Account Management page on the Web site. On this page you can change your dial up and e-mail passwords, check your connection speed, and view your dial up usage reports.

Creating and Deleting Additional E-Mail Accounts
