Usenet Newsgroups allow you to read and post to popular Internet newsgroups. Gator.Net is able to offer newsgroups to our customers through services provided by Randori News Inc.

To set-up Newsgroups after subscribing to one of our service plans please do the following:

Outlook Express 5 and 6:

1. Click on Tools and then Accounts
2. Click on Add News
3. Enter your Display Name (your Display Name can be any name you want)
4. Click Next and enter your e-mail address (e.g. johndoe@gru.net)
5. Click Next and enter the name of the News Server which is news.gru.net
6. Click Next and then Finish
7. In your mailbox's folder list news.gru.net should be listed.
8. Click on news.gru.net and a list of newsgroups will appear.
9. Click on each one that interests you and subscribe.

Netscape 7:

1. In your browser window click on Mail
2. In the toolbar of the Netscape Mailbox click on Edit
3. Click on Mail and Newsgroup Account settings
4. Click on Add Account
5. Click on Newsgroup Account
6. Where indicated enter your name and e-mail address and click Next
